Seven Resourcing are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Recovery Worker to work full-time in the Southampton area.

**Pay rate: £22ph**

**Job Summary**:

- Providing Support: Recovery workers offer emotional support, encouragement, and guidance to individuals in recovery. They create a safe and non-judgmental environment where individuals can openly discuss their challenges and progress.
- Assessment and Planning: Recovery workers conduct assessments to evaluate the needs, strengths, and goals of individuals seeking recovery. Based on these assessments, they develop personalized recovery plans, setting achievable milestones and outlining appropriate strategies.
- Counseling and Therapy: Recovery workers often provide one-on-one counseling sessions to help individuals explore and understand the underlying causes of their addiction. They assist in developing coping mechanisms, stress management techniques, and relapse prevention strategies.
- Group Facilitation: Recovery workers may lead group therapy sessions or support groups where individuals in recovery can share their experiences, challenges, and successes. They facilitate discussions, promote peer support, and foster a sense of community among participants.
- Education and Awareness: Recovery workers provide information and education on addiction, recovery, and healthy lifestyle choices. They may conduct workshops, seminars, or outreach programs to raise awareness about substance abuse and related issues in the community
- Advocacy and Referrals: Recovery workers advocate for their clients' rights and needs, helping them access appropriate resources and support services. They collaborate with other professionals, such as doctors, psychologists, or social workers, to ensure holistic care and referrals to specialized services when necessary.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Recovery workers regularly monitor and evaluate the progress of individuals in recovery. They assess the effectiveness of interventions and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed. They also maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress.
- Crisis Intervention: In situations of relapse or emergency, recovery workers are trained to provide immediate support and crisis intervention. They may collaborate with emergency services or other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of their clients.
- Self-Care and Professional Development: Recovery workers actively engage in self-care practices to prevent burnout and maintain their own well-being. They stay updated with advancements in the field through ongoing professional development, attending workshops, conferences, or pursuing additional certifications or degree

**Applicant Requirements**:

- **Qualifications**:N/A
- **Experience**:2 + years previous experience as a Recovery Worker preferrably in a Substance Misuse environment.
- **Compliance**: Current DBS and 2 x references.
