Quality Control Operative

The QC operative liaises with production personnel, Quality Assurance and Technical Departments to ensure that all procedures are adhered to with regard to quality control.

**Responsibilities**
- Carry out quality inspections of manufactured product throughout department in line with departmental and Company policies and procedures to ensure product meets the required specifications with regard to Quality.
- Ensure that all Quality records are being maintained as required by Company Procedure and spot check the results of Quality records at a frequency determined by the Works Manage to ensure accuracy. Record the results of these spot checks.
- Responsible for monitoring and correcting fill levels on all production lines and producing weekly reports to illustrate all findings.
- Responsible for filing the Quality record sheets in a logical manner, ensuring all documentation is up to date, accessible and legible.
- Must observe strict adherence to all quality control procedures and test methods where applicable
- Carry out calibrations as required. Liaise with the Senior Team leader to carry out problem solving exercises when issues arise requiring attention.
- Promptly provide information to assist in answering customer complaints and enter this information onto the complaints database.
- Set up the Q.C. Computer, record average weights on the computer and enter results onto Excel Spread sheets and QC databases.
- Set up the lines ensuring that checkweights and scales are correctly prepared to ensure all product weights are correct on the lines
- Responsible for collection and testing of first fill samples.
- Carrying out of hourly and monthly quality inspections as required and ensuing that these checks are also being carried out correctly by your colleagues in production.
