We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Pharmacy Assistant to join our friendly team at Nevill Hall (NHH) Pharmacy department.

This is an opportunity to gain experience in all areas of pharmacy and be part of the team working within the pharmacy stores, dispensary and wards.

As a conscientious and forward-thinking individual, you will share the responsibility for the delivery of a high-quality pharmacy service. Our patients are our highest priority, and our ambitious and challenging agenda aims for excellence in all that we do.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

The roles is mainly Monday to Friday but there will be a need for weekend working on a rotational basis.

The main duties of the role includes the following responsibilities:
To carry out the accurate dispensing and distribution of pharmaceuticals to patients, wards, departments, hospitals and clinics served by NHH.

To carry out the accurate distribution of stock pharmaceuticals, receipt of new stock into the department, the assembly of emergency kits, the preparation of pharmaceuticals and the accurate supply of basic non pharmaceutical information to clients.

Assist in the delivery of a near patient medicines management service to in patients admitted to wards at NHH and hospitals served by NHH.
