Part-time Bookkeeper

**LBC is looking for a Part Time Bookkeeper to start with one day per week with potential to increase.**
**Responsibilities**
- Using Xero Accounting Package to Reconcile weekly financial transactions.
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner to ensure that the financial statements are properly prepared and report on the results of the work
Keeping Creditors and debtors figures accurate
Paying Suppliers and using a purchase order system
- Generate reports on account activity and balance sheet changes
- Handle general ledger functions including accounts payable and receivable, inventory, receivables/disbursements, and subsidiary statements
- Prepare journal entries to support the preparation of financial statements
- Perform reconciliations between the general ledger accounts and ensure that the amounts are correct and match actual transactions
- Reconcile general ledger accounts by comparing actual transactions with budgeted transactions and proactively look for variances
- Facilitate the reconciliation of business payables by collecting, verifying, and verifying supporting documents
- Prepare periodic reports for management approval
- Perform other accounting tasks as needed to support the business needs of the company.
**Education & Experience**:. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role is required. Experience with Xero is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Excel / Google sheets is a plus.
