Service Charge Lead - Hybrid - £27,800 - £31,534 - Fixed Term Contract

Service Charge Lead

**Hours**: full time, 35 hours per week

**Contract Type**: fixed term contract till 29th September 2023

Office based 20-40% and 3-4 days working from home

**Office Locations**: Cray House, Sidcup/ West Ham Lane, Stratford or Sale Point, Manchester

Salary starting from £31,534pa (London Weighted) or £27,880 (Outside London) and is dependent on experience and location

**Job Role**:
We are looking for a Service Charge Lead to join our passionate Service Charge Team. As a Service Charge Lead you will be part of a team that sets service charges for around 80,000 homes. You will manage a portfolio of around 7,000 homes, calculating the relevant service charges and undertaking regular expenditure analysis. You will work with the local neighbourhood teams in answering any questions from customers concerning the charges.

**Essential Skills**:

- Financial - Income/Expenditure & analysis
- Strong Excel skills (Pivots an V Look ups)
- Communication Skills (verbal and written)
- Experience of working in a target focused environment
- Understanding of Residential & Commercial Service Charge Legislation

**Desirable skills**:

- Ability to interpret Legal agreements across all tenures (Freehold, Leasehold, Commercial, Rented)
- Understanding of Section 20/21/22 of the Landlord and Tenant Act
- Able to deliver presentation to large groups.
- AAT or other relevant finance qualification
