Trainee Logistics Administrator

**Position**:Trainee Logistics Operator
- **Pay**:£13ph
- **Location**: Horsham (car essential due to location)
- **Hours**:Rotating shift pattern of early and late shifts)
- **Duration**: Temp to perm
Responsible for ensuring all shipping and customs requirements are completed accurately and within time-critical parameters for international air export shipments and domestic road movements. This includes working with customers and our corporate partnersoverseas to ensure all governmental, legal, and industry regulatory procedures are followed and due diligence is undertaken on all aspects of our client's shipments. The selection of appropriate routings, communication and issue resolution, including the preparationof related documentation, for the entire shipment cycle, are the key components of this position.
**Duties**
- Communicate critical shipment status information with clients, directly and via Transport Management System
- Follow all relevant procedures, client protocols and quality criteria in accordance with good manufacturing practices
- Accountable for confirming all shipments have been inspected prior to despatch and are accurate against the documentation provided.
- Selecting the most appropriate routing for shipments via air or road carriers for cost efficiency and delivery within the required time and temperature parameters
- Ensuring custom clearance of consignments are completed and required documentation is presented and received from customs brokers.
- Responsible for the creation of shipment documentation, including but not limited to: master airway bill, house airway bill, manifest, shipment labels, pre-alerts and export declaration.
- Uploading shipment related documents into TMS.

**Minimum Requirements/Qualifications**:
Ideally have experience of international logistics and customs experience, but not critical, understands the importance of building relationships and providing outstanding services to customer/clients.

- Solid understanding of Word and Excel
