**MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB**
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a project addressing Intimate Partner Violence by delivering a behaviour change intervention (Up2U) to those using abusive and unhealthy behaviours in their intimate relationships to support them in making positive changes throughout their journey with Stop Domestic Abuse, regardless of risk. Up2U is an innovative programme which seeks to reduce the incidents of domestic abuse, prevent the cycle of abuse and prevent re-victimisation.
This exciting project will deliver Up2U: Creating Healthy Relationships, designed to facilitate those using abusive behaviours to recognise and manage emotions and thoughts, develop healthier relationships and develop skills to manage difficult situations and relationships.
As the Behaviour Change Worker you will be committed to family work and proactively work to recognise and implement solution focused actions to ensure eradication of domestic abuse from families lives. To work as part of a team in the given locality delivering specialist high quality, safe and effective domestic abuse support to those perpetrating domestic abuse focusing on change, safety and protection.
The Portsmouth Service operates as one team, and all staff are responsible for taking referrals for all aspects of the service, offering immediate support, advice and assessments to clients or people contacting the service, welcoming families into refuge and completing relevant paperwork, and ensuring the smooth running of the service. This will include providing cover when required for absent colleagues to ensure that the core functions of the service are delivered and responding to changing demand in service provision. The Portsmouth Service is a team committed to whole family work, when safe to do safe, creating a family journey through the service.
It is essential that the postholder has a driving licence and access to a car for work purposes as this role covers multiple sites in Portsmouth.
