**HR ADVISOR**

The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The role involves:

- Providing advice and guidance on ER issues including discipline, capability and grievance matters, from initial allegation, investigation through to formal hearing and appeal.
- Supporting clients with typical HR questions such as holiday calculations, managing sickness absence, handling resignations, managing pregnant employees, advising on process and best practice within employment law.
- Creating templates, letters, forms, checklists, structures and other useful HR documents for the shop part of our website and for our clients.
- Creating new employment policies and procedures, new employer guides and resources.
- Delivering our learning lunches for our clients.

You will:

- Be qualified to a minimum of CIPD Level 5 or working towards.
- Possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a role which has involved advising line managers on day-to-day HR topics.
- Able to demonstrate a track record of ‘thinking on your feet’
- Able to demonstrate that you understand the needs of small business.
- Be confident in talking to managers/business owners about their query on the phone.
- Able to demonstrate an good understanding of employment law.
- Understand safeguarding (desirable but not essential as training can be given)
- Be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, numeracy and that you are customer orientated.
- Be comfortable working independently and using own initiative.
- Be someone who enjoys working in a small team where we have fun as well as work hard.
