About the roleNorthamptonshire Youth Offending Service (NYOS) is a successful partnership organisation working to prevent offending by children and young people, whilst helping to resolve offences for victims and protecting the public within your community.
We are recruiting three Turnaround Practitioners on a fixed term basis, to be part of our Turnaround Programme. Working across the county and in partnership with the Police, PaDs aims to assess and address the issues for young people whose behaviour has not reached the threshold for involvement of the criminal Courts.
We will benefit from multi-year funding over 3 financial years (22/23, 23/24, 24/25) which will enable us to intervene earlier and improve outcomes for children on the cusp of the justice system, with the ultimate aim of preventing them from going on to (re)offend
What will you be doing?You will complete assessments, deliver interventions, signpost to other services, and broker arrangements and ensure that, wherever possible the young person has access to the services required to meet their needs in the future.

About youEducated to at least A level standard, you will have some experience of working with children and young people, the ability to engage positively with them, their parents/carers and colleagues in other agencies.
