Purchasing and Logistics Team Leader

This role is focussed on day-to-day management of our warehouse, purchasing activities and good inward/dispatch. You will take a central role in ensuring the successful delivery of the products and services offered by Sycous.
You will work closely with our clients, suppliers and other team members, ensuring we deliver exceptional levels of service and support.
You will maximise product dispatch and minimise stock days, ensuring continuous efficiency improvements. You will take a proactive role in maximising our margins by cost control, smarter purchasing and negotation as well as working alongside our other teams.
This role seeks a highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to work in a team and independently.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Day to day warehouse management
- Management of stock holding and minimising stock days
- Management and administration of all purchasing activities
- Arranging deliveries, returns and other dispatch requirements
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Engaging with suppliers, including negotiation and obtaining best prices
- Stock management, including stock counting
- Monitor and analyse logistics performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Providing a parts delivery services, including consumables, to field-based teams and ensuring all systems are updated as necessary.
- Processing and fulfilment of customer orders, including engaging with customers to ensure they are informed of expected delivery dates.
- Invoicing review and approval, ensuring accuracy of all processed invoices
- Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy and recycling as appropriate
- Ensure adherence to company and best practise health and safety rules and ensuring a safe place for employees and visitors is maintained, including updating safety systems as necessary.
- Work under pressure to achieve deadlines and maximise level of accurate dispatch.
- Update and manage different stock and ordering systems.
- Management of team members
- Production of monthly reports and business target information
- Communication with clients and internal teams relating to purchasing and dispatch
- Take a proactive approach to learning about the product and services we provide, including any necessary training.
- Resolution of customer queries and investigation and management of complaints.
- Issuing all required communications and documentation, including customs and financial documentation.
