Kennel Assistant

Kennel Assistant Job Description:
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide care and support for animals in the kennel facility
- Feed, water, and exercise animals according to their specific needs
- Clean and maintain kennel areas, including cages, bedding, and common areas
- Assist with bathing and grooming of animals as needed
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals and report any concerns to the supervisor
- Administer medications or treatments to animals under the direction of the veterinarian
- Interact with customers and provide excellent customer service
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, record keeping, and data entry
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with animals is preferred
- Ability to handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as needed
- Basic knowledge of animal care and behavior
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors
- Reliable and responsible work ethic
Note: This job is for a Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday.
