Nineteen Recruitment is delighted to working with a local client, recruiting on their behalf for a Youth Justice Officer, a role that is based in the Newcastle area.

This is a temporary role that commands a standard hourly rate of £10.90 per hour, with enhanced rates after a period time of employment.

**Job description**

As a Youth Justice Officer, you will be undertaking youth justice and agency assessments, which will include the risks and vulnerabilities of children. Whilst managing your caseload you will be designing and delivering individually tailored packages of support and help to address the assessed needs of children/young people.

Throughout this role, you will need to keep accurate and timely records either on an IT client information system or in manually written case files, including case records and other data for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Level 4 NVQ qualification in Child Care / Social Care or equivalent
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one
