**The job itself**:
The Traffic and Parking Service are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the Notice and Appeals Team. The post is office based, although there may be a need to visit parking locations throughout the East Riding, therefore a full driving licence and willingness to drive council vehicles is essential.

The postholder will primarily be responding to written appeals against Penalty Charge Notices, which includes investigating the circumstances of the case and the relevant legislation before making a decision. The postholder will be required to respond to appellants in writing, in a clear and professional manner. Full training will be provided by the Team Leader Notice & Appeals, and the postholder will be required to gain a qualification in Notice Processing, which the Council will arrange.

The postholder will also be required to assist other members of the Parking Operations Team for a variety of tasks when required, such as administrative work, producing statistics, coordinating parking suspensions and dispensations and carrying out car park inspections.
