You will work alongside the National Corporate Accounts FM team delivering M&E and building fabric projects in the role of Principal Contractor.
The purpose of the role is to:
Lead their teams in the safe delivery of projects.

Have overall P&L responsibility for generating revenue to the business and achieving planned growth.

Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial requirements and margins as specified by the business.

Ensure that all projects adhere and are managed to commercial framework agreements. They must comply with statutory regulations, are QHSE compliant and meet technical industry standards.
**Head of Projects Responsibilities: **
- Identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) associated with each and every project.
- Recruit and retain talent for the present delivery and future growth of projects.
- Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities.
- Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects.
- Complete projects on time and on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties.
- Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.
- Identify and win project through effective relationships.
- Management of small commercial construction projects and building fabric remedial works, including the management of Project Managers, specialist trades, sub-contractors and directly employed regional SSSTS qualified site supervisors,
- Production and management of all aspects of the Construction Phase Plan.
- Managing and overseeing our work in Scotland, The North, The Midlands, and the South West of England.

- Networking skills
- Be able to travel throughout the UK

Knowledge
- Knowledge of the construction market
- Project management methodology
- Broad understanding of construction Health and Safety law and legislation
- Understanding of general financial terminology.

Experience
- Proven project management experience in either an M&E, FM or construction environment
- Experience of developing new project opportunities
- Proven experience of running a P&L
- Demonstrable evidence of having managed a team
- Experience of creating, presenting and managing on bids, tenders and proposals.
- Working to CDM 2015 Regulations.
- All duties associated the Principal Contractor role.
- Management of the Construction Phase Plan.
- You will have experience of managing projects between the values of £25k to £200k with an overall P&L value of approximately £4m per annum.
- Experience in the commercial and QS of project finances

Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in either a construction, mechanical or electrical discipline.
- Business standard of written and verbal literacy as well as above average numeracy skills
- Recognised qualification in project management
- Hold a current SMSTS qualification for the construction industries.

**Location**: Bristol to Birmingham area
**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full Time, 39 per week. Hours are 8.00am - 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, 8.00am - 3.30pm, Friday
**Salary**: Competitive. Negotiable, based on experience.
