The Flow Co-ordinator will be responsible for the direct line management and development of the Cancer and Associated Specialties Flow Team.
The Cancer and Associated Specialities Flow Team has significantly grown in the last couple of years. We now have a strong team of band 4 bed managers and band 3 Discharge Co-ordinators. We are responsible for the management of patient flow across the whole of the Cancer and Associated Specialities division. The team has a strong work ethic and strives to succeed in safely placing all of our patients who require admission to the surgical division.
**The Capacity team leader will be required to**:
Ensure the division has enough capacity to admit patients from ED/Home/SDEC
Have responsibility for direct management of staff including appraisal, capability and sickness
Be an effective leader and role model.
The post requires two weekends to be worked per month.
Work flexibly as a member of the team to ensure standards are being maintained, evaluated and where necessary improved.
Contribute to the work of time-limited committees and project groups.
Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required.
