**Salary**:£21,450 to £21,840 Annum (Salary based on a 37.5-hour contract)

**Overview of the role**
The role of the Activity Coordinator is to support adults with learning disabilities and/or mental health disorders through developing, planning and implementing an activity programme for our residents, including social activities, outings and holidays, all according to their care plan and preferences.
**Key duties**
- Plan, organise and coordinate an activities programme for each resident individually and in groups, according to their needs, interests and abilities
- Manage the activities budget allocated for the month
- Ensure equality of opportunities for all residents
- Assist the Positive Behaviour Support team with assessing residents' skills and abilities so that tailored activities can be planned
- Actively participate in scheduled activities
- Occasionally provide physical care and support to our residents in accordance with their care plan, respecting their dignity and preferences. Personal care includes bathing, toileting, dressing and help with feeding
- To safeguard and promote the welfare of the people we support
**Personal attributes**
Being creative, patient, reliable, flexible, a team player, and a good communicator. The ability to manage your own time, tasks and workload are key characteristics of a successful Activity Coordinator.

Compton House, near Winchester, is an eight-bedroom residential home for residents of varied ages with learning disabilities and complex needs, including those who are non-verbal.
