This new role will give you an opportunity as an experienced recruitment specialist to develop professionally and be given the freedom to innovate recruitment solutions. The role will initially be responsible for sourcing staff for our new development at HMP Fosse Way. The ability to communicate effectively, innovate in a difficult market and critically analyse processes is essential to success in this role.

The role will be the focus for developing and implementing recruitment strategies. You will be acting as a liaison between the Forensic Division and a number of Corporate teams, supporting both to achieve the highest standards in recruitment practise. You will be involved in developing new recruitment strategies and enhancing existing strategies. A key part of the role will see you organise and support recruitment events which will complement the strategies you develop. Critical analysis of processes to ensure the smoothest of experiences for all concerned in the recruitment process, will be a fundamental part of your role.

- Responsible for effectively coordinating recruitment processes across the Directorate.
- Monitoring and ensuring timely longlisting, shortlisting and interview activities through effective communication with services across the Directorates and the wider recruitment team.
- To have continual oversight of the recruitment activity across the Directorate, taking relevant actions and highlighting and innovating solutions to delays to ensure that the best experience is delivered to all parties
- To be point of contact for recruitment process related issues within the Directorate, liaising with others regarding the relevant actions, be able to respond to and balance varying needs, which will be unpredictable
- Working with the Head / Deputy Head of People and Culture to provide specialist advice and support to Managers across the Directorate in respect of creative recruitment materials including adverts and job descriptions to help to attract and secure our future workforce
- Be involved, where appropriate, in the shortlisting and interviewing processes across the Directorate as identified
- Co-ordinate and supporting services in respect of setting up of existing and new selection processes
- Build and maintain close working relationships and communication with the wider recruitment team, Head / Deputy Head of People and Culture and services across the Directorates.
- Liaise with key stakeholders to develop bespoke events to meet their recruitment needs, and providing post event reports to senior management, developing post event assessment and analysis.
- To lead on the promotion and delivery of the continued roll out of assessment centre approaches across the Directorates.
- Understand and utilise relevant workforce information systems including TRAC and NHS Jobs to monitor and coordinate recruitment activity, running workforce reports as required on behalf of services
- Where appropriate provide specialist recruitment advice to help to reduce any barriers which may be impacting on recruitment timescales
