**About Stick ‘n’ Step**

Stick ‘n’ Step provide free conductive education sessions to children with cerebral palsy. Our support improves mobility, independence, and boosts self-confidence, enabling each child to reach their personal potential.

Conductive education is about active learning. Stick ‘n’ Step sessions incorporate play, exercise routines and songs to develop functional skills. Children and young people are motivated by working alongside their peers in a positive environment and are empowered to achieve realistic goals that are specific and relevant to them.

Stick ‘n’ Step currently provide vital support to over 100 children and their families from our centres in Wallasey and Runcorn. This is an exciting time to join Stick ‘n’ Step and we are looking for someone who has the passion and motivation to contribute to the organisation.

**About the Role**

This role is pivotal to our organisation. The Administrator will integrate all office-based activities and support the staff team who provide our core services. The post holder is expected to be self-motivated and show initiative and flexibility.

This role would suit someone with a good foundation of administrative skills, who has an organised and proactive approach to tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Be the first point of contact at the Wallasey centre**
- Greet and assist visitors.
- Build positive relationships with individual families and supporters by taking a personal approach and ensuring they feel supported and that their contribution is valued.
- Answer phones and take messages.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Manage an effective recording system for staff, volunteers and visitors at the centre and produce associated reports.

**Office administration**
- Type accurate correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Proactively monitor office supplies ensuring the basic supplies are always available.
- Maintain up-to date records on Famly and Donorfy, ensuring all contact information and activity is accurately recorded and accessible to other staff.
- Record volunteer time on Donorfy.
- Assist with mailshots when necessary.
- Responsible for regular monitoring of the Health & Safety checklist.
- Assist families with the use of the Famly app.

**Fundraising and event support**
- Count, record, and bank small cash donations.
- Ensure all donations and gifts are advised to the fundraising team promptly and appropriately.
- Follow the “thank you” process.
- Monitor weekly fundraising reports and disseminate information to the bookkeeper and fundraising team.
- Assist in the preparations of, and attend and contribute to meetings and other events, which aim to improve relations with external stakeholders.
- Assist in the delivery of the annual children’s Christmas party.

**Facilities Management**
- Coordinate tasks for volunteers/community groups who give their time to carry out work at the centre.
- Ensure the kitchen, reception areas and parents’ room are kept clean and tidy at all times, particularly after sessions and at the end of the day.
- Ensure the Centre is kept clean and tidy at all times, to include the outside space.
- Ensure the Centre is locked every evening by a member of staff, not necessarily yourself.
- Coordinate all maintenance work needed at the Wallasey centre.

**Other Responsibilities**
- Coordinate initial consultations, arrange appointments and visitor arrangements.
- Provide admin support to the whole Stick ‘n’ Step Wallasey team as required.
- Attend internal training and meetings as required.
- Comply with the internal policies, procedures and systems of Stick ‘n’ Step.
- Undertake any other reasonable activity in line with the responsibilities of the post as requested by a senior member of staff or the Trustees.
