Management Accounts Officer

Duties of the Management Accounts Officer are to record and crunch numbers, help to choose and manage company investments, risk management, budgeting, planning and decision making.

My client is looking for a Management Accounts Officer to join the busy finance team on an interim period. Offering flexible and hybrid working and a great Preston location.
**Description**
Key responsibilities of the Management Accounts Officer will be;
- Gather and analyse financial information for internal use
- Support budgeting and funding
- Assist the company in managing its investment portfolio
- Assume responsibility of accounting procedures
- Evaluate the company's performance using key data
- Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
- Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimise risk
- Advise on problems and suggest improvements
- Supervise lower-level personnel
**Profile**
The successful Management Accounts Officer;
- AAT qualification or working towards CIMA/ACCA
- Budget setting
- Forecasting experience
- Proficient with Excel
- Management Accounts
- Analytical mind with aptitude in math
- Problem-solver with attention to detail
- Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
