Seasonal Gardener

**Job Summary**:
At this time of year, we are seeking individuals to join our team who have a **passion for gardening** and enjoy working outdoors. While prior experience is desirable, it is not essential. This role involves collaborating with our current team to learn and develop gardening skills within some of the **finest private gardens in Cambridge**.
**Key Aspects of the Role**:
- **Variety**: You’ll work in both historic and modern gardens, assisting with ongoing maintenance and seasonal planting. There’s also an opportunity to contribute to soft landscaping garden installations.
- **Reporting Structure**: The position reports to the Maintenance Manager. Our horticulturalists work in teams of two or more, serving a set number of clients on a rolling schedule, including one-off planting jobs.
- **Passionate Team Player**: We seek an individual who loves working collaboratively. Gardening experience is beneficial, but we’re also open to those looking to expand their knowledge of plants and gardening.
- **Outgoing and Friendly**: As you’ll interact with other team members and clients, being outgoing and friendly is essential.

**Job Requirements**
- **Physical Fitness**: Gardening involves physical labor, including lifting, digging, and prolonged outdoor work. Being **physically fit** is crucial to perform these tasks effectively.
- **Shift Pattern**: Our working week runs from **Monday to Friday**, with hours from **7:30 am to 3:30 pm**. Please note that there may be some variation in working hours based on seasonal demands.
- **Contracted Role**: The position starts end of April and continues until Autumn. During this period, you’ll contribute to garden maintenance and seasonal planting.

**Duties**
As a gardener, your responsibilities include mowing, edging, weeding, planting, hedge trimming, and proficiently using both hand tools (spades, forks, edgers) and power tools (lawn mowers, leaf blowers, hedge cutters). You’ll collaborate with the team on various garden tasks, ensuring each job is executed to the highest quality standard
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week
