Edinburgh, United Kingdom ICAS Full time

**Assessment & Quality Specialist**

**Full time** - 1 Permanent & 2 Fixed Term Contracts (12 months)
**Salary**: £27,000 - £30,000 (dep on exp)
**Location**: Edinburgh (Hybrid working)

**A small team with big influence**

We have a number of exciting opportunities (permanent and fixed term roles) to join our busy assessment team who administer, deliver and manage the delivery of both remote and in centre assessments to students across the United Kingdom.

**What is the role**?

The Assessment & Quality Specialist (A&QS) role is crucial to the assessment process and the overall student experience, to be successful in role you will need to be resilient and have experience working in a fast moving and fluid environment. You will also require excellent IT skills, possess strong attention to detail and be highly organised and able to work in a structured, yet flexible manner, to adapt, and respond to unexpected events.

As A&QS you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with a number of internal and external colleagues to create, maintain and deliver a wide range of digital and physical assessments across the UK. Whilst the role is primarily focused on the delivery of assessments to students, there is also a significant amount of contact with students, employers and third-party providers to ensure that all aspects of the assessment process are brought together, all appropriate guidelines are followed, and all necessary procedures are in place to deliver and efficient and consistent assessment every time.

The successful applicant must have excellent IT, written and communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with both external stakeholders and internal colleagues across ICAS.

Previous experience of working in an assessment /student focused administrative environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as extensive training will be provided, however experience working within a fast paced, high-pressure environment is essential. Core hours are worked but there may be a requirement for flexibility around key exam and results dates and some UK travel may be required.
