Payroll / Credit Control - 1 Year Maternity Cover

**Company & Role**

Royston is a dynamic and expanding diesel engine supply, service and repair company that has operated successfully within the global marine and offshore market for more than 40 years. With bases in the UK, Nigeria and Australia, the company has gained an excellent reputation in the marine industry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage engineers payroll for the 15th of each month. Data comes from time entries and is input into Sage Payroll manually, including hours and allowances for approx. 40 employees
- Manage salaried employee payroll for month end (split into 2 payrolls, staff and directors approx. 20 employees)
- Manage any staff advances or other deductions through payroll
- Manage company pension scheme
- Make monthly PAYE and NI payments
- Pay any DEO / AEO
- Complete P46 and P11D where applicable and issuing of P45's, P60's etc.
- Deal with payroll year end procedures
- Posting payroll journals into MS Dynamics to get costs and liabilities into the accounts
- All other payroll activities and reconciliations
- Manage debtor ledger, covering both overseas and UK customers, including meeting key customer requirements such as uploading invoices to their portals
- Assist department heads to resolve queries and with cash collection

**Experience**:

- Proven experience of working end to end payroll including year end activities
- Familiar with Sage payroll
- Confident in credit control activities
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
