Edinburgh College of Art is seeking to recruit a resourceful, self-motivated, and proactive individual to join the Cultural Heritage in The Metropolitan Peripheries (CUMET) project team within the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA).

**The Opportunity**:
This project will research cultural heritage in the peripheries of three European cities (Edinburgh, Paris, Madrid) with strong heritage profiles; but instead of focusing on historic cores, conservation areas, and tourist attractions, this project addresses the city edge, in the process of constant post-industrial development, and social change.

Using innovative interdisciplinary methodologies, the project will explore how to enhance these areas, encouraging new development scenarios while protecting cultural heritage. It will develop mechanisms and tools to involve local stakeholders in policymaking and investigate the use of heritage as a means to spatial equity between the different areas of cities.

The post holder will be part of a collaborative project with Université Paris 1 - Sorbonne (Lead partner) and Universidad Complutense Madrid and will be responsible for research, workshop and design aspects of the project working closely with the Project Principal Investigator, Partner Organisations and colleagues across the School and wider University to support the delivery of the CUMET project (JPI-CH funded project). The post holder is also responsible for supporting project management, communications, and project dissemination.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University on a fixed term role, as well as contributing to a project focussed on cultural heritage.

The post is for 0.25 FTE [8.75 hours per week] fixed term for 36 months.

**Your skills and attributes for success**:

- You will evidence strong experience in interview and data collection, as well an analysis and mapping of databases.
- You will have experience in designing, planning and delivering workshops with community and wider stakeholders.
- Strong experience in providing operational support and advice together with experience in collaborative working.
- Ideally you will have experience in managing externally facing social media and web accounts, and ability to maintain project webistes.
- Experience in working with a range of academic and non-academic stakeholders, with excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex information clearly orally and written.
