The Senior Decontamination Lead post is 37.5 hours on a shift rota pattern, all Technicians are rostered to work Saturday and Sundays. The unit is open from 7.30am until 8pm. You will support the CEDU Manager/Head of Decontamination in ensuring the service supports effective patient care and clinical departments and supervising the unit on relevant day to day issues. They will also be required to supervise the unit in the managers absence. This is an exciting opportunity to develop new skills and to offer a vital service to all clinical areas.

**Main duties, tasks & skills required**:
In return you will be expected to provide an excellent service of decontaminated Flexible scopes for clinics. The role requires manual processing of Flexible scopes, operating endoscopy washer machines and using a software tracking system.

You will be reliable, enthusiastic and self-motivated, understanding the importance of excellent customer care and team working. The training you receive which will be specific to the role and includes awareness of infection control and how the flexible scopes/medical devices are designed and used. You will come into regular contact with clinical colleagues and therefore will be a good ambassador by demonstrating Trust values at all times, showing empathy and respecting confidentiality.

Endoscopy decontamination experience or experience in a clean room environment would be an advantage. If no previous skills and you wish to join a dynamic team then full training and development will be delivered.

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (E)
- NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience in an administration environment (E)
