We are looking for an experienced and Passionate Mental Health Collaborative Coordinator to work as part of our Community Mental Health Unit in Sheffield.

The Community Mental Health Unit at Rethink has a range of colleagues with different expertise needed to be the voluntary sector partner for system transformation. Experience of joined up treatment and support that meets the needs of people severely affected by mental illness is a key objective for us across our organisation. Co-production is at the heart of our work, and we have a growing Co-production and Involvement practice that works closely with colleagues in the Unit (eg. community engagement, community alliances, equalities, NHS collaboration). We take a place-based approach where each area we work in has a matrix programme team.

**How you will make a difference**
- Work collaboratively with experts by experience leaders and system partners in the Sheffield NHS trust and Voluntary organisations, to facilitate the Mental Health Collaborative to bring about improvements to access to Mental health support in Sheffield.
- Organise and facilitate the membership of the Mental Health Collaborative board and steering group, to ensure that members are well place in the NHS trust, Integrated Care Board and voluntary sector to be able to take forward any actions and make changes to the system.
- Ensure that findings from the Mental Health Collaborative are heard and valued by system partners in commissioned services so they can influence positive change, by proactively positioning myself in areas of influence i.e. steering groups and boards.
- Support and develop expert by experience leaders in their role to ensure it is a positive experience which builds on their strengths and helps them to achieve personal goals.
- Network with mental health system partners to promote the Mental Health Collaborative by attending forums and network meetings.

**We are looking for an individual who:
- Experienced in working with people with challenging and distressing experiences, from different backgrounds and walks of life.
- I have experience of working with staff in health and social care organisations.
- Mindful that it is important to make sure that feedback is listened to and acted upon in my own work and that of partner organisations to maximise the voice of lived experience.
- I can develop and work with plans, organising activities around them.
- I work proactively and collaboratively with colleagues and partners in statutory and voluntary services to achieve outcomes.
- Conscious of how to host safe and productive spaces for different perspectives to come together, and hold developing ideas to move forward.
- I have an aptitude for helping people feel safe and supported in one to one and group discussions.
- Able to simplify complex information and communicate the essence of views and recommendations. Making communications appropriate for their intended recipients.
