As Head of Enterprise Data Management, you will be accountable for the overall management and provision of Enterprise Data Management to the FCAS business within the scope of the FCAS national and GCAP international programmes.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Lead the FCAS (Future Combat Air System) in defining, implementing, and communicating data management strategies aligned with the digital strategic framework and Enterprise Data Management (EDM) strategy
- Setting strategies for monitoring and managing data system performance, developing learning and development strategies for enterprise data and information management, and defining policies to ensure data consistency and accuracy
- Establishing and enforcing data governance practices, implementing data governance frameworks, and developing quality strategies for data and information management
- Lead a team of data professionals, foster a collaborative team culture, and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices
- Actively manage relationships with the most senior stakeholders, serving as the ultimate escalation point for issue resolution in enterprise data and information management
- Liaising with FCAS (Future Combat Air System) functions to identify requirements and spearheading significant organizational capability improvement programmes
- Represent and lead organizational capability improvement in Data Management at the highest level within the FCAS (Future Combat Air System) programme and collaborate with stakeholders and leaders in the wider BAE Systems business

**Your skills and experiences**:

- Proven experience in leading data teams
- Track record of managing major programs involving multiple stakeholders
- Background in the technology industry with expertise in large enterprise-level digital data asset management
- Proficient in cloud platforms and data service
- Previous experience working within an IT function
- Familiarity with current IT trends and best practices
- Core skills and experience in digital strategy, enterprise architecture, and data and information architecture
- Expertise in developing data governance standards and implementing data curation best practices
- Strong communication skills, utilizing various tools to engage with stakeholders at different organisational levels

You will be joining a team where you will be at the forefront of collaboration with both international and UK partners and directly engaging with key Stakeholders. Your responsibilities will extend to establishing robust Data Governance frameworks in close collaboration with senior Stakeholders.

This pivotal role will require you to formulate strategic approaches, developing diverse models for efficient data extraction, presentation, and decision execution. Furthermore, the position entails a critical component - the construction of a resilient Data team. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping a cohesive and skilled in-house team that aligns with our organisational goals.
