We’re looking for a Finance Officer work alongside the Cashbook Team, supporting the Senior Finance officer and cashbook team to deliver a comprehensive income recovery and cash management service to the organisation.

**This role is a fixed term contract for 1 year to cover maternity cover.**

Within this role you will be ensuring that all relevant financial controls are maintained and correct procedures followed, complying with current legislation. Develop and maintain good professional working relationships with customers and partners and to respond to enquiries and correspondence. Deliver a customer focused service, working with the team to meet the objectives in the team plan. Ensure that all relevant financial controls are maintained and correct procedures are followed and kept up to date.

You’ll be a great team player, willing to help out and be able to adapt to different workloads.

**What you’ll be doing**
- Committed to putting external and internal customers first, understanding their needs and expectations and achieving results by delivering a customer focused service
- Contribute to an engaged and high performing team
- Develop and maintain good professional working relationships with customers and partners
- Undertakes routine delegated financial management and accounting procedures
- Work with cross departmental colleagues to provide and share information
- Manage relationships with external organisations who provide goods and services to our residents and the organisation, respond to enquiries, customer complaints and correspondence

**What you’ll need**
- Sun systems or similar
- Previous experience in a large organisation, preferably social housing
- Excel, IT and system skills
- Able to manage high-volume workloads with tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills including cross team collaboration
