We are seeking a Finance Assistant (Income) to join our finance team in Sittingbourne. The ideal candidate will assist with the efficient processing and recording of income and all other aspects of financial processing.

To contribute to the smooth and effective running of Demelza by providing a clean, welcoming and tidy environment that supports the non-institutionalized and individual care offered to the children, young people and their families which promotes the existence of a home from home atmosphere.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist with counting, banking and recording monies received promptly and accurately
  • Reconciliation of all Demelza bank accounts
  • To give input to the development of finance policies and procedures, ensuring best practices and effective methods of working are adhered to, in accordance with charity regulations
  • To process and record receipts made by alternate means (e.g. CAF, Card Payments)

You will have:

  • High level of confidentiality, honesty, integrity and accuracy
  • Experience of handling cash
  • Good level of attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • An organised, methodical approach and ability to prioritise workload
