Extensive regular travel across the district is a requirement of the role in order to successfully undertake the range of duties specified within the job description. Therefore, it is essential that applicants have the ability to travel regularly across the district to meet the needs and demands of the service.

To work for the community-based oral health improvement programme across a wide range of settings. Delivering the fluoride varnish programme and evidence based oral health improvement programmes, providing advice and support to health professionals.

To provide chair side and clerical assistance to Consultants, Specialists, Senior Dental Officers, Dental Officers and Dental Therapists. To be responsible for the day to day operation of any of the Community Dental Service sites. To work with members of the dental team to support service delivery throughout the district.
