Are you an Advanced Clinical/Specialist Practitioner with the desire to work within a specialist area, providing a service for patients on the suspected cancer pathway? We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join an innovative team of ASP’s in our Urology department, running the suspected cancer pathway from referral to diagnosis. You will be committed to providing excellent direct independent clinical practice, be a team player, and passionate about urology and the patients we serve.

You will be a key member oftheUrologyteamandactas an autonomous practitioner. Theywillbe responsible fordeveloping and leading a comprehensive servicefor managingpatients who are referred into theUrologyservice on atwo weekrulecancerpathway.This will be a developing role, with a staggered approach into theindependentmanagement of thetwo weekrule pathway asthe role holder’scompetency, education,experienceand confidence growsalongside a training,developmentand coaching plan.

You would work closely with the Urology surgical consultant team and other key stakeholders including patient navigators, utilising team and patient feedback to develop and grow the service. As this is a new and unique role, the post holder must be flexible to the needs of the Urology service, the role direction will adapt and change with the service needs.
