Stock and Purchasing Assistant

An exclusive opportunity to join a growing business as they require an experienced Stock and Purchasing Executive to join their team.
Duties include:
- Working with the Inventory Planner & Business Analyst to understand the current supply chain and inventory catalogue.
- Raising purchase orders for requisitioned goods in the company’s financial/stock systems.
- Generate inspection lists for the booking-in of stock and ensure all stock is properly counted in.
- Liaising with freight forwarder and managing shipping logistics to ensure stock arrives on time.
- Reconciling purchase orders, packing lists and purchase invoices and taking the appropriate actions when discrepancies are found.
- Maintaining the company’s stock system - creating new stock codes, ensuring correct cost data recorded.
- Liaising with marketing department to ensure new stock lines are listed on company’s on-line web sites.
- An enthusiasm for stock management and the processes which need to take place around the ordering of goods and their receipt into the company’s stock.
- A clear eye for detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- A logical approach to dealing with the paperwork and systems involved in ordering and receiving stock.
- Capable of working on own initiative and to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with other teams (ie finance and marketing).
- Good communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to manage change effectively and implement new systems.
