**Job Summary**: 1. Provide secretarial support to all Medical Personnel within the Department, including all duties associated with the post, typing correspondence, memos, minutes, reports etc. 2. Provide administrative/secretarial support to the Clinical Neurophysiology Consultants and Healthcare Scientist Team.

4. Ensure that enquiries/visitors are dealt with promptly and efficiently in a courteous, professional and informed manner. 5. Ensure that the department runs smoothly and efficiently, ensuring the photocopier, printer and fax are fully working with sufficient supplies available etc.

6. Ensure an efficient service for patients 7. Maintain accurate computer and paper filing systems to enable easy retrieval of all paperwork 8. Provide assistance in support of the Neurophysiology Team for the purpose of improving the service.

**Key Responsibilities**: 1. Provide effective Consultant diary management, ensuring that all information required by the Consultants is current and accurate. 2. Collate and compile minutes ensuring that all information is accurate for distribution 3.

Audio typing and Issuing of Neurophysiology Consultant Clinic letters. 4. Typing and issuing of appointments and clinical reports via IT software. 5.

Organise and administer meetings within the department to ensure their smooth running. 6. Access NHS.Net Referral System and liaise with GP surgeries regarding queries 7. Prioritising, and when appropriate responding to, all incoming correspondence including paper and electronic mail enabling the Consultants and Healthcare Scientists to effectively prioritise their workloads.

8. Use of Hospital software packages as appropriate such as PAS, EPRO, Graphnet etc. 8. Organisation and filing of hospital notes, scanning documents and collating notes for specific audits 9.

Organising and distribution of patient clinical information letters. 10. Unsure that waiting list information validation is completed accurately on a weekly basis.
