You will lead on individual projects and build relationships with key partners across Buckinghamshire and into the wider Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West (BOB) footprint. The post holder will be responsible for representing and discharging duties on behalf of the local authority and Integrated Care Board (ICB), the statutory body responsible for commissioning health services in the area.

Here's what other members of the Integrated Commissioning team had to say:

“I get the chance to be involved in a range of exciting projects which achieve real results for service users and their families, whilst continually boosting my learning. **About us**:
Buckinghamshire Council’s Integrated Commissioning Service plays a vital role in our Adults and Health directorate. Working collaboratively with partners across a wide range of public, private and voluntary sectors, our aim is to align strategic commissioning activities to support service improvement, value for money and improved resident and service user outcomes.

We commission a diverse range of services. These include domiciliary care, residential and nursing care, day opportunities and support living, direct payments, and carers support for unpaid carers. We also commission several NHS services, including all strands of mental health provision. This integrated commissioning between adult social care and health services has enabled us to improve the efficiency of services we provide to our residents.

To ensure sustainability and resilience for the future, we identify the need for and procure new services and contracts for both health and social care. This involves building strong relationships with staff at all levels within these services, discovering and supporting areas for development, and monitoring the quality of the services we provide to our residents. If you are committed to making a difference and enjoy working in a fast-paced but friendly environment, we want to hear from you.

**About the role**:
The role comes at a time where mental health is consistently at the forefront of people’s minds thanks to the publication of key national policy drivers, most notably the NHS Long Term Plan. This brings an opportunity to influence positive change whilst also ensuring that public resources are utilised in the most efficient manner.

You will support the Commissioning Manager in all aspects of strategic and individual commissions relating to All Age Mental Health. In addition, you will take an active role and lead in aspects around Physical Health Checks and Severe Mental Illness and Support the contract management of the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

**You will need to demonstrate the following confidently and effectively**:

- Chair multi-disciplinary meetings that look to prevent unnecessary in-patient admissions and to facilitate timely and safe discharge back into the community.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-faceted service reacting to tight deadlines and on occasions responding to urgent situations.

**The All Age Mental Health portfolio includes the following work streams and functions**:

- Children and Young people’s mental health
- Adult mental health

**About you**:

You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good attention to detail and the ability to analyse information and data. You will need to have an enquiring mind and be confident asking challenging questions in order to get a detailed understanding of provider performance.
