**Key Accountabilities**
- Analyse the current Taylor & Francis Journals portfolio and align with scholarly research products in the ecosystem which content could be relevant to drive revenue.
- Build relationships with new partners and existing partners as defined by the Manager, Licensing to increase revenue and exposure.
- Create excellent partner and client relationships in person and via virtual meetings.
- Ensure meeting customer expectations by collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Keep up to date with business news and developments related to intellectual property rights for content.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the publishing industry through the T&F business development programmes/courses and outside publishing organizations.
- Research prospects and generate revenue through new products as defined by the Manager, Licensing.
- Raise invoices and assist with allocation of revenue and refunds where necessary.
- Liaise with credit control to ensure invoices are paid.
- Record and share with the licensing team any information that could have an impact on licensing revenue budget.
- Work with editorial to provide essential financial licensing information for journal acquisitions within a short deadline.
- Support and involvement with departmental projects.
**Qualifications** Knowledge and Experience Required**
The ideal jobholder will have the following knowledge and experience:
- Good knowledge of copyright, preferably in scholarly publishing content.
- Knowledge of the scholarly publishing industry.
- Ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Understanding of Open Access licences.
- Good time-management, prioritisation, planning and multi-tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to communicate at all levels.
- Customer focused approach.
- Flexibility and adaptability with a can
- do attitude.
- Strong research skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Previous licensing experience is preferred but not essential.
