The Accounts Payable Co-ordinator is an integral part of the Finance team supporting the UK & Ireland Accounts Payable functions, alongside two other team members. This will involve posting invoices, processing payment runs, inbox management and responding to queries from salespeople, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- General administration relating to the Accounts Payable function reporting to the Financial Controller
- Shared ownership of accounts payable communications, ensuring questions, approvals and tasks are prioritised, responded to and if necessary escalated to the correct people in a timely manner
- Responding to queries from salespeople, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders
- Control over the matching, batching and coding of high volume purchase ledger invoices using document capture system
- Oversight and scrutiny of payment runs - ensuring documentation is prepared correctly to enable Financial Controller approval
- Reconciling supplier statements and dealing with queries
- Responsibility for aspects of the month end processes associated with payables, including an understanding of the ledger status
- Monitoring of recharge accounts, with regular reconciliation
- Balance sheet and statement reconciliations
- Ad hoc analysis, as required by the Financial Controller and the business
**About You**
- Experience in purchase ledger and process improvements
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- High level of accuracy
- Excellent IT skills (including Excel Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
- Comfortable working with large amounts of data and ad-hoc Accounts Payable requests
- Able to work effectively in a team with other Accounts Payable members
- Great ability to prioritise and be proactive in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communicator with both internal and external stakeholders
- Happy and motivated working in a fun, friendly, growing team and company
**What you can expect**
