The SEN Statutory Service have recently carried out a service re-design to add additional capacity to the SEN Team. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic SEN Annual Reviews Officer to support the delivery of EHC Planning processes for families.

You will work as part of the SEN team to coordinate the Annual Review process and ensure families are at the centre of everything we do. You will also work closely with key professionals to ensure annual reviews are of the highest quality and are delivered in a timely and efficient manner. Therefore, you will need to have demonstratable experience in working in a relevant environment with the ability to prioritise your workload around the demands of the service whilst still managing to meet statutory deadlines.

**About the role**:
We are looking for a SEN Annual Reviews Officer to join our hardworking, dynamic SEN team. This is a new, exciting role where we will be expecting you to not only deliver on tasks relating to annual reviews but also help shape our processes further. As an Annual Review Officer you will form an important part of the SEN Team here at Hove Town Hall and crucially you will be able to demonstrate skills and abilities in team working, negotiation and prioritisation. You will be carrying out statutory tasks relating to the processing of annual reviews from across the age range (0-25 years) and will be working closely with not only our SEN Casework Officers and managers but also our families and partners from the community.

Essentially you will need:

- Relevant experience of working within the local authority setting within a legal framework and proven ability to comply with systems and/or statutory processes
- Good knowledge of legislation relating to special educational needs e.g. SEN Code of Practice
- Experience of writing accessibly and to understand complex information under particular timescales. You will need to prioritise and understand the specific needs of the service and our families.
- Experience of engaging children and young people, parents and carers in projects and multi-agency working to achieve outcomes. Customer services is a priority for our area.
- Excellent IT skills and communication skills via various platforms

**Additional information**:
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
