Located in the heart of the beautiful Peak District village of Castleton, Rose Cottage is a stunning fully licensed Café & Bistro, offering alfresco dining in the summer, while welcoming guests to a cosy haven in winter. Using fresh, locally sourced ingredients we serve breakfast, lunch and an array of homemade cakes, with a wide selection of hot and cold drinks.

**Who are we looking for?**

Rose Cottage has an exciting opportunity for a Front of House Assistant to join our friendly hospitality team and support us in driving forward towards evening service in future. Alongside our Front of House Manager and Supervisor, you will be at the heart of our operation and growth, offering full table service in a relaxed Café Bistro. We are looking for individuals who share our energy and passion and will contribute to our ongoing success. You must be hardworking and motivated and will help support the current team with the following:

- Greeting guests as they enter in a friendly, welcoming and professional manner
- Seating guests with menus, explaining our offering and answering any initial queries they may have
- Taking orders and confidently communicating with the kitchen and other front of house colleagues
- Providing guests with exceptional customer service and offering something very different to the typical café experience
- Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages guests
- Serving hot and cold food items to guests
- Engaging with guests to ensure that they are enjoying all aspects of their experience with us
- Clearing, cleaning and relaying of the restaurant tables in a timely and efficient manner
- Answering phone calls and taking booking reservations
- Developing an excellent understanding of menu items
- Ensuring that all allergies and intolerances are handled with the utmost importance and care
- Passing on relevant queries to the Front of House manager, Supervisor and Head Chef
