We are currently looking for two Service Co-ordinators in the West Sussex area to join us on fixed-term contracts until 5th November 2023.
**Overview**
Working as part of a larger consortium with organisations including Age UK and Mind, the service will support people over the age of 65 who require short tern befriending / enabling in order to improve their socialisation, personal independence and qualityof life.
**The Role**
As a Service Co-ordinator, you will assist the Service Manager with the day-to-day co-ordination of the service within the West Sussex Council Area, covering Adur, Arun, Horsham, Crawley, Mid Sussex and Chichester.
This will include arranging appropriate cover, matching volunteers to clients, dealing with enquiries and complaints, assisting with the recruitment of volunteers and delivering volunteer training.
You will also work directly with individual older people to develop and oversee the implementation of a personalised support plan aimed at increasing inclusivity and social cohesion.
Additionally, you will:
- Ensure all interventions and other key service data are recorded on relevant databases
- Attend and contribute to local area meetings
- Ensure all agreed standards of customer service are met as defined by the local Service Plan
- Take an active part in promotion of the service
- Comply with associated statutory standards, policies and procedures
**Working Hours**
This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a fixed-term contract until 5th November 2023.
**What we are ideally looking for is someone**:
- Previous experience in a community-based service environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft products and Case Management systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A full, valid driving licence
