Overview

Working as part of a larger consortium, with charities including Age UK and Mind, our service supports people over the age of 65 who require short term befriending and enabling in order to improve their socialisation, personal independence and quality of life.

We’re currently looking for Service Co-ordinator to join our dedicated team on a full-time basis, for a fixed term contract until the 19th of June 2024.

The Role

As a Service Co-ordinator, you will work within the West Sussex Council Area, covering Adur, Arun, Chichester, Horsham, Crawley, and Mid Sussex, to assist the Service Manager in ensuring that the service is delivered in line with the service specification.

Overseeing the day-to-day co-ordination of the service, you will arrange appropriate cover, match volunteers to clients, deal with enquiries, recruit volunteers and deliver volunteer training.

You will also take responsibility for increasing inclusivity amongst older people within your area, working directly with individuals to develop and oversee the implementation of a personalised support plan.

**Additionally, you will**:

- Monitor and assist a team of volunteers
- Ensure all data is recorded accurately on our databases
- Attend and contribute to local area meetings
- Comply with associated statutory standards, policies and procedures

Working Hours

This is a full-time role, working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for a fixed term contract until the 19th of June 2024.

What you’ll need

**To be considered as a Service Co-ordinator, you will need**:

- Customer service experience
- Experience in a community-based service environment
- Experience of general administrative processes and maintaining databases
- Excellent communication skills
- IT proficiency
- A full, valid driving licence
