**Vergo **Pest Management Ltd is the largest independent national pest service provider in the UK today. Through continued growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Falconer to join our Specialist Services Team, based in the North East.
As a key member of the Specialist Services Team, you will undertake jobs at commercial and government properties, throughout the UK on a routine and reactive basis.
Primarily, you will play a key role in providing an efficient and effective service, by travelling to various sites throughout the UK to undertake specialist hawking works to prevent pest bird species from causing a nuisance to neighbouring properties and breaking their behavioural patterns by implementing various solutions.
**Key duties**:
The Falconer is responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of hawking works that is to be carried out for our customers to include:
- Improve nuisance bird behavioural patterns and monitor nuisance bird populations for various clients.
- Identify and implement strategic bird management solutions.
- Care for Hawks / Falcons outside of working hours e.g., maintain Hawks / Falcons flying weight.
- Complete detailed service reports following your site visit.
- Promote our Home Safe Everyday philosophy by ensuring compliance to company H&S policies and procedures.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required by the needs of the business.
**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:
- 2+ years experience of working and flying birds of prey.** **(Essential)**:
- Broad knowledge of Falconry.
- Competent written & verbal communication skills
- The ability to work effectively and independently with mínimal supervision.
- To be methodical and systematic in your approach to work.
- Be comfortable using mobile phone apps.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Full valid driving licence
