Within our Communities team in Children North East, we have an exciting opportunity for three dynamic, forward thinking, creative youth project workers.
This role will involve working within our youth team delivering a range of services to young people aged 8-25 who access our services. We require three experienced youth project workers to deliver frontline group delivery, one to one work with young people, sexual health services, detached/outreach youth work, school based intervention, holiday activity provision and play work provision to young people aged 8 - 12.
Please note the 3 posts are; 1x 25 hours per week. 2 posts at 20 hours per week.
The salary is pro-rated.
Youth project workers will be expected to deliver high quality and impactful programmes that contribute to positive outcomes for young people.
This work will involve evenings and occasional weekends across the North East.

To be accountable to the Youth Team Manager for service delivery and development. To empower young people to ensure their voice is heard.
To inform, develop and deliver a range of different youth provisions including access to sexual health provision, detached youth work and targeted youth support in accordance with current contractual obligations.
To deliver high quality youth work that draws on youth work principles such as relationship building and informal education.
To employ reflective practice and knowledge acquisition to ensure professional development and high quality youth work delivery.
To carry out positive project delivery which is inclusive to children and young people, and considering the relevant procedures and processes to contribute to this
To develop networks within the North East area to promote delivery and project development.
To liaise with a range of agencies, networks, schools, colleges, universities and other youth based activities to establish consistent and appropriate opportunities for youth work delivery i.e. 1-1, group work, assemblies, drop in sessions, online platforms.
To support the Youth Work team as a whole to deliver an excellent service to children and young people accessing Children North East.
To respond to and report any Safeguarding concerns to the relevant manager ensuring compliance with Children North East Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
To support the team manager in meeting the monitoring and evaluation recording and reporting requirements.
To attend team meetings, individual supervision sessions and annual appraisal as agreed with the Youth Team Manager.
To undertake mandatory training as required in addition to any other relevant training which will assist with development in the role.
