**Job Title**:Transport & Trade Compliance Planner
**Term**:6 Month Fixed Term Contract
**Salary**:£28,000 - £30,000 (depending on experience)
**Location**: Shrewsbury

**The Opportunity**
As a Transport & Trade Compliance Planner, you will be responsible for the management and planning of all inbound and outbound shipments. Liaising with various internal and external parties, including customers and transportation companies to ensure a streamlined end to end delivery process, in line with global import and export regulations.
**Job Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Full end to end responsibility of Customer Shipments including the facilitation of associated legal documentation in line with global exporting regulations.
- Providing Monthly Transport Spend data to CAT Shrewsbury Finance.
- Management of Global Trade and VAT activity to ensure proof of deliveries are received in a set time frame. Failure to do so is a major compliance impact.
- Conducting regular Carrier Reviews.
- Annual completion of Transport Workbook.
- To facilitate the freight invoice process in line with various carrier invoices through to payment. Managing and highlighting exceptions through to resolution.
- Flexible in their work approach to support time sensitive deadlines and the needs of the business. This is a key role and may require working different times throughout the day to ensure Customer shipments leave on time.
- Effectively manage carrier communications and time sensitive bookings to ensure goods are despatched in line with customer Incoterms.
- Conducting Monthly Trade Compliance audits.
- Reporting of KPI’s to Supply Chain Manager and monitoring trends.
**Skills and Experience**:
- Must demonstrate meticulous levels of attention to detail when working in a pressurised environment.
- Good understanding of both domestic and international customer requirements.
- Expert Export and Import regulation knowledge.
- Proven ability to maintain react and think quickly to fast moving fluid situations.
- Able to contribute positively within a team environment.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office tool.
- Experience in adaptive working with strong problem-solving skills and an analytical approach.
- A strong negotiator and communicator with experience dealing with both internal and external suppliers and customers.
- Project work and lead experience.
- Ability to work with multiple systems; Transwide / Carrier online booking portals.
- Supply Chain Experience and knowledge of customs compliance advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience working with suppliers and customers advantageous.
