Aspire Healthcare specialise in the provision of care to people with learning disabilities and mental health in the North East. We are currently looking to recruit male support workers to work in our supported living services in Blyth.

The Support Worker's role is to empower & support service users to rebuild their lives. The focus of the service is to provide a supportive environment for people to develop skills and strategies in order to lead a more fulfilled and independent life. The type of care and support that we offer varies depending on each service user’s individual needs. You will be required to provide care and support to people in their homes according to personalised support plans to help maintain their independence and dignity.

**Duties**:

- A desire to work with people to achieve their goals in life
- Encourage the service users to participate in general activities
- Monitor changing needs with due regard to the dignity and privacy of the service user
- A commitment to teamwork and the determination to work through challenges
- Protect the service users from any form of abuse and report suspicions
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all information
- Be involved in all aspects of care for the individual
- Participate in all household duties as required
- The flexibility to work shifts that cover days, evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights

**Salary**: £9.90 per hour
