The post holder will be a specialist advisor relating to delivery of employment coaching, training and support for care experienced young people. You will be responsible for developing and leading training, IAG and coaching support services for care experienced young people focused on personal development and employability with the aim for them to develop job related skills and secure and sustain employment. This will involve building partnerships with local employers to identify a sustained pipeline of employment opportunities and an understanding of employer needs.

You will also be a source of specialist advice and support for other Groundwork colleagues working with care experienced young people, and play an active role in supporting growth of work with this target group in different local authority areas in Greater Manchester.
- To provide high quality and personalised 121 coaching and IAG support for a caseload of care experienced people, primarily in Stockport, to enable them to develop new skills and confidence and progress into sustained employment
- To develop and lead employability work, acting as a source of advice and guidance for other staff working with care experienced young people
- To develop and deliver short training courses, workshop and information sessions focused on personal development, employability, Health & Safety, customer service and financial management skills
- To actively recruit programme participants through different local referral networks

To build partnerships with employers, particularly those operating within the construction sector, to identify a sustained pipeline of job opportunities and build a picture of employer needs
