Marketing Communications Executive

This role is in the UK marketing team in the Glen Dimplex Heating & Ventilation Division (GDHV) which is the largest division in the Glen Dimplex Group. GDHV designs and manufactures an extensive range of electric heating & ventilation solutions. Working as part of a dynamic and growing marketing team based in Southampton, and with colleagues internationally, this person will support the delivery of improved communication and engagement internally and also play a leading role in the external communications activities of the business. This person will also be involved in supporting regulatory and policy engagement activities with impactful communications and messaging in order to unlock opportunities associated with the decarbonisation agenda and electrification of heat.
As part of a dynamic and growing marketing team, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop at pace. You will benefit from the senior, experienced marketeers in the team, including the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, who will mentor and help you grow and you will have the opportunity to engage with senior leadership and really make a difference. Every day will being new tasks and opportunities and no two days will be the same in this fast paced environment.
**Accountabilities**
- Write, design, and distribute content across internal and external channels including announcements, videos, employee communications and town halls.
- Write and design content for a variety of internal and external communication mediums, such as internal Intranet, presentation decks and the internal company monthly newsletter.
- Plan the internal and external communications strategy, aligned with the business roadmaps.
- Take the lead to maintain and continually enhance our digital communication to employees.
- Support and advise colleagues on functional communications activities and kay strategic announcements.
- Lead communication programmes for specific projects and initiatives
- Create the required messaging and collateral and producing and publishing thought leadership pieces.
- Ensure consistency in communication messaging in terms of how Glen Dimplex Heating and Ventilation is portrayed internally and externally.
- Manage relationships with communications, creative and public affairs agencies as required.
- Post on Internal company communication channels stories of company events, successes and employee achievements.
**ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business, English or other relevant degree.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage content delivery, project timelines and communicate updates.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Confidence to create communications campaigns, propose ideas to the team and be able to see idea through.
- Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and cross-cultural awareness.
**DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:
- Be able to demonstrate successful experience using technology and multiple channels to generate communication pieces innovatively to a wide audience.
- Skilled at generating compelling, engaging, and creative presentations and collateral.
- Project Coordination skills.
- Experience of working in an international organisation.
- Experience using the Adobe Suite.
