**Smiggle is the world's hottest stationery brand that was born in Melbourne Australia in 2003 and is now taking over the UK As a result we are looking for a People Support Advisor (Fixed Term), to help support the People and Culture team, could that be you?**
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career within HR, perhaps a graduate or junior member of a HR team who has the passion and enthusiasm to embrace our culture, and make a valuable difference in the way our service is delivered to our Retail population.
**Responsibilities**:
- Advise employees and line managers on policy queries and offer guidance, support and coaching to managers on employee relations issues, suggesting practical solutions
- Conduct probationary meetings, investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
- Manage ill health absence, welfares and return to work
- Assist managers with investigating the reasons for under performance and ensure improvement/development plans are put in place
- Manage maternity and paternity cases
- Maintaining responsibility for the entry, maintenance, and integrity of data in internal systems.
- Support the Head of P&C/Senior People Support Advisor in providing the day to day administration of the HR function,
- Support the Head of P&C/Senior People Support Advisor in coaching and influencing managers from a people perspective, developing their people management / leadership skills and constructively challenging inappropriate behaviours / actions
- Provide input and support to HR initiatives and projects as required
**Requirements**:
- You are able to sustain travel to be office based 5 days a week
- To adopt a flexible and proactive approach to work in order to support the Head of P&C/Senior People Support Advisor in delivering the People & Culture strategy
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times.
- Performing various administrative duties that support the People & Culture function.
It is desirable that you have experience working with HR systems and databases but essential that you have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.
