If you are a data cheerleader, great at building relationships and have excellent storytelling skills, you have what this role needs You will join the Data Strategy & Governance team, working in partnership with business leaders, providing strategic and operational advice and knowledge on data related matters in line with the needs and priorities of the business. You will take full accountability for the data agenda within a business area by creating, developing, and fully embedding a directorate-led data strategy. You will need to be proactive, forward thinking, commercially minded, and take an evidence-based approach

- Working collectively with other data business partners to develop an enterprise-wide data strategy - aligned to NHSBSA strategic goals and ambitions
- Continually developing your data management professional knowledge and skills by keeping up to date with external trends and best practice
- Thought leader on data initiatives for the NHSBSA. Such initiatives may include improved operational reporting, data visualisation, improved performance, data sharing and improved data flows
- Being an active member of the wider Data & Insight Team, continually supporting colleague and team development and challenging the status quo to ensure a value adding data and insight provision to leaders, managers, and colleagues
- Drives and encourages a data driven culture, collaboration, and partnership across the NHSBSA. Leads and influences colleagues across the business by embedding data and evidence in decision making
- Completes ad hoc analysis to provide the insight, which may involve communicating and presenting complex or contentious findings to key stakeholders to help drive efficiencies, benefits, and mitigating risks to the wider business.

In this role, you are accountable for:
1. Partnering the leaders of specific business directorates and fully understanding their business area and future strategic aims to create, own and fully deliver a data strategy to enable the achievement of these, and ultimately the wider business strategy. This data strategy will incorporate appropriate elements of the Data & Insight Strategy to ensure consistent approaches across the business.
2. Through the knowledge you acquire within your business directorate, actively lead the development and delivery of a business specific data strategy to ensure the business strategy is achieved through data initiatives - ensuring both individual initiatives and data strategy are suitable, feasible and achievable - including financially and alignment to business goals
3. Working collectively with other data business partners within the team to develop an enterprise-wide data strategy - aligned to NHS BSA strategic goals and ambitions
4. Working with other business partners across the business e.g., Finance, HR, Communications to develop a business partner community of practice to share best practice, ways of working and support.
5. Advising, guiding, and supporting Directors and key stakeholders on complex data matters e.g., data sharing, linking data.
