National IT Specialist

It's simple, really. You'll be an expert in your field, and our go-to person for all things IT in the technical or commercial arena.
Our National IT teams support Aldi by delivering our system and infrastructure needs. In this vital, hands-on role, you'll provide first and second-level support. Plus, you'll make recommendations to improve what we do - testing new and existing programs as needed. You're a specialist after all.
We do things our own way at Aldi. But whatever we're doing, we must be getting it right. With a wave of impressive sales figures behind us, we're opening new stores at lightning speed. As our customers grow and change with technical advances, our own people and business need to as well.
You will work closely with our National Business Coordination team but also form relationships with International IT and across other teams across the ALDI global network.
You will not only be responsible for multiple SAP systems but be a stakeholder in several projects and therefore attention to detail, efficiency and ability to successfully balance multiple priorities will be key.
**Your New Role**
- Maintain an understanding of user requirements and open issues for area of responsibility and take action to resolve these
- Keep up to date with the business buying processes
- Liaise with project leads to adopt and action any changes where these relate to applicable business area
- Using various channels of communication liaise with stakeholders across all levels within the company, as well as external partners
- Co-ordinate and direct NIT colleagues, consultants, contractors, vendors, and suppliers as required
- Explores new technical approaches and identifies where improvements to systems are required within own area, including involving and liaising with IIT as required
- Provide 1st and 2nd level support for National Buying, National Supply Chain and Services and National Administration business users
- Manage tickets via Service Now ensuring that the Service Level Agreements are adhered to
- Manage Tickets, Problems, Requests, Tasks and Demands end to end
- Ensure Knowledge Based articles are created for new incidents
- Responsible for training other members of the team where necessary and creating relevant training material and support documentation
- Create and maintain project documentation for releases and enhancements in conjunction with International IT, NBC and Business as needed
- Manage and aid in the coordination of scheduled software updates and planned changes to supported solutions
- Manage meeting meetings and department notes using One Note, Jira and Sharepoint
**About You**
- Enthusiasm and interest in building cross-disciplinary knowledge around S/4HANA modules
- Technically minded with a passion for working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
- Highly self-motivated and inquisitive
- Technical knowledge of SAP, ideally SAP ARIBA, MDG or S/4 HANA
- SQL
- Experience working with/knowledge of ERP or procurement systems (e.g. SAP ARIBA)
