The role, starting as a Customer Supply Manager, will be exposed to continued learning throughout your time with this multinational manufacture.

Initially your career will begin learning the front end of the Supply Chain, your customers This is a critical role within the Supply Chain Function as the business continues to evolve and grow its operation to meet the needs of its global customers.

The Customer Supply Manager has a core focus on Customer Service delivery with in Supply Chain Operations and will be responsible for ensuring that the activities are structured and executed effectively, to ultimately ensure lowest cost to serve, the highest measures of efficiency can be gained.

- You will manage key customer accounts with a team of people to meet OTIF and OTD targets
- Ensure the supply chain operations function is a credible internal business partner
- You will be heavily involved in developing and executing the customer service operational processes with the Head of Supply Chain

**Role specification**:

- Effective performance management of the team in line with company strategy
- Ensure training and development is identified with action plans followed through
- To evaluate and plan staffing levels for all functions to achieve the goal
- Develop clear supply chain KPI’s to be presented to all levels of the business
- Be able to understand and report on the supply ability throughout the month to meet customer output targets
- Highlight any risks areas to the business, while being proactive to drive supply chain solutions
- Support and identify most appropriate transport / logistics methods and routes to meet customer delivery
- Provide direction of the Supply Chain Customer Service Operations function; a day to day customer service plan, view of capacities and lead-times to support customers, provide priority lists to functions to ensure optimal performance

This position is responsible for delivering customer service by managing the activities of the Customer Service Department and the order fulfilment process. Interacts closely with the Scheduler(s) and Operations to respond to enquiries internally and externally with regard to scheduling, raw material inventory, and shipments.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Manages a team of assigned customer service representatives and ensures they comply with company guidelines particularly related to quality of service
- Ensures that representatives are informed about changes to company products and services
- Collects data and prepares reports on customer and departmental KPI’s as required
- Identifies opportunities to update or improve customer service procedures and makes recommendations to the Supply Chain Manager or other appropriate staff
- Primary order fulfilment/customer service contact for assigned customers and partner to Business Development Team
- review: Open Order book regularly/daily with no orders in the past, without dates and no issues v/s production dates
- Build strong customer relationships to meet and exceed sales targets
- Participate in weekly and monthly meetings with key customers as required

**Competencies and experience**
- Ideally a degree in a Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Consumer, FMCG, E-Commerce or similar discipline
- 2+ years’ post graduate experience in Supply Chain Operational Management from Manufacturing, Chemical
- Pharma, Retail, Distribution and/or Wholesale, Stockist organisations
- An analytical mind with attention to detail and an ability to interpret data for robust decision making
- Great Excel skills (formulas, pivot-tables, macros)
- Be a manager and mentor to the team
- An excellent communicator and influencer at all levels of an organisation
