Employ.ed on Campus internships are ONLY open to 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh based in the UK.

We are looking for a Digital Marketing and Communications Intern to support the implementation of our alumni relations marketing strategy at the School of Chemistry, focusing specifically on social media, graduation and welcome week activities.

**The Opportunity**:
The post-holder will work with staff to source and develop engaging new content for our new students and graduates, to showcase and connect our Chemistry community. They will also assist in day-to-day running of the School of Chemistry social media platforms and the promotion of news stories.

Employ.ed on Campus is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools. It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh.

The School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh has a long and distinguished history. The first Chemistry Professor was appointed to the Chair in 1713 and the Edinburgh University student-led Chemical Society is regarded as the oldest chemical society in the world. The School is run as a single academic unit with approximately 50 academic staff, 40 professional support staff, 250 research students and post-doctoral researchers and a first year intake of 135 Chemistry undergraduates.

Employ.ed on Campus is run by the Careers Service in collaboration with University departments and Schools. It offers exclusive summer internships at the University over the summer for 2nd year to penultimate year undergraduate students from the University of Edinburgh.

As well as great work experience, the Careers Service provides supporting resources, this is combined with a framework to support the development of participants’ employability and self-reflection with an Edinburgh Award as part of the internship.
